Grade 9 through Grade 12
High school tutoring in Brampton, Grade 9 through 12
Course-aligned tutoring for Ontario high school students. We work on the units your teacher is teaching this week, plus the bigger picture: OSSLT, SAT, and the university application that comes faster than anyone expects.
Course-aligned tutoring for Grade 9 to 12
Our high school work is built around the Ontario course your child is actually in. Sessions track to MPM2D, MCR3U, MHF4U, MCV4U, MDM4U, ENG4U, SBI4U, SCH4U, SPH4U, and FSF4U, plus their Grade 9 and 10 prerequisites.
Tutors review the unit your teacher is on, work through current assignments, and get ahead of the next test. The point is not generic worksheets. The point is the test on Friday and the exam in January. Most sessions are small groups, capped at 4 to 5 students, with each student following their own learning plan; 1-on-1 is also available, often used for Grade 12 exam prep.
Subjects we cover at the high school level
We tutor math, science, English, French, and coding across Grade 9 to 12. Common pairings include MPM2D plus SNC2D in Grade 10, MHF4U plus SCH4U in Grade 11, and the heavy Grade 12 stack of MCV4U, MDM4U, and ENG4U for university applicants.
A student message to other students: calculus gets easier when someone breaks it down with you. So does chemistry, so does physics, so do essays. That is what we are here for.
OSSLT preparation
The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test in Grade 10 is a graduation requirement. We help your teen walk in confident.
OSSLT preparation covers reading comprehension, paragraph writing, and the question types the test actually uses. Most students start two to three months before the test window, with a mix of timed practice and short-form coaching.
SAT, ACT, and university application support
For students applying to schools in the U.S. or competitive Canadian programs, we run SAT and ACT preparation across math, reading, and writing. Sessions are paced to the test date, with full practice tests built into the plan.
We also help with the OUAC application itself. That includes the supplementary essays many programs require, drafting personal profiles, and choosing where to apply. Our university advisory work goes one step further: we help your teen figure out which majors and programs actually fit, based on academic strengths and the careers they are curious about.
Study skills and time management
Five teachers, three deadlines, and a part-time job is the reality for many high school students. We coach time management directly. That includes weekly planning, breaking long assignments into steps, building real study sessions instead of vague “review”, and using AI tools well rather than badly.
These skills carry into university. Students who learn them in Grade 10 or 11 enter Grade 12 in a different gear.
How sessions are scheduled around school and extracurriculars
Our centre runs Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. That window covers the after-school block for most Brampton high schools and the weekend for students with packed weekday extracurriculars.
Many high schoolers come once a week. Around tests, exams, or the OUAC deadline, some bump up to two sessions a week for a stretch.
A note on AI in high school
Your teen is already using AI for school. The question is whether they are using it well.
We teach high schoolers to treat AI as a study partner, not a shortcut. Tutors work AI into essay outlines, practice problem generation, and concept explanations, while keeping the thinking work where it belongs, with the student. Students who learn to use AI thoughtfully now will outperform peers in university.
